PARTS of Wirral are showing the deep decline in pavement upkeep, growing numbers of charity shops, litter, and even rats in some parts.
Even the aged folk have lost the pensioner discount leaving them with at least £50 or so more to pay than the previous year on their council tax and how many council workers have lost their jobs?
Everyone paying council tax should complain about the council which is about to subsidise a football team, Tranmere Rovers.
What’s that got to do with the people who don’t care bout football or who might support Everton or Liverpool for instance?
Surely this community charge is to improve the standard of living in the area in which we live and at the moment this is not happening.
Is football more important than our environment then? Is it more important than schools, libraries, old peoples homes and just about everything else which comes under the council?
