A 26-YEAR-OLD motorist is 'critical' in hospital with multiple injuries after his car crashed into a building in Birkenhead earlier this morning.
Police were called to Cavendish Street shortly after 4am after a Mini collided with a building causing serious injuries to the driver.
The man, from Manchester, suffered multiple injuries and has been taken to Aintree Hospital. His next of kin have been informed.
A road closure was put in place at the junction of Corporation Road and Cavendish Street following the incident, but has since reopened.
