I MAY be just a voice in the wilderness but I feel the now quite famous Wirral Egg Run does not get the acclaim that it should.
I say quite famous because many people don't even know that it's taking place, newspapers, TV and radio give it little or no recognition.
Each year it's frequented by thousands of motorbikers that come from miles around.
These people do this for children's charities, mainly sick children in local hospitals.
The atmosphere on the day is wonderful, but it really does not get the publicity it deserves.
The problem is that on TV especially, we get Granada ITV which gives us mainly news from Manchester and local are abut not as much Liverpool and local area.
I feel this is the problem as we should have our own news on Merseyside and if this was the case, then the Egg Run for instance would attract more people.
I know the Globe does its best.
