STAFF and pupils at a Wirral secondary school are celebrated after being rated "outstanding" by Ofsted.
Wirral Hospitals' School was given the impressive ranking when inspectors visited the Birkenhead campus in November.
They said students "are well supported to become resilient learners and provided with opportunities to take risks in their learning".
Leadership at the school was described as "visionary, strong, uncompromising and outstanding", with the "highly motivated and inspirational" headteacher Derek Kitchin also praised.
Ofsted also said staff are dedicated and "fully committed" to providing a nurturing environment where students are supported and cared for "exceptionally well".
