I RECENTLY attended an appointment with my doctor and while waiting, went to the washroom. I took my ring off to wash my hands and left it on the basin, but forgot to put it back on afterwards.
After a while I realised I’d left it.
I phoned the surgery and asked one of the receptionists to look for it. I called back later on to be told it wasn’t there and no-one had handed it in.
The person who took it must have known it was left by one of the patients and didn’t have the honesty to hand it in to reception.
I am a disabled pensioner and for someone to steal from me is appalling and abominable.
They are the lowest of the low.
The ring was a gift from my late father and has great sentimental value.
They must have thought it had real diamonds in it.
Sorry to disappoint them, they are fake.
