CONSERVATIVE voters should feel great shame for the attacks on poor, disabled and vulnerable people to claw back their meagre benefits to bring down ‘the defecit’.
A problem caused by their banker friends’ utter greed and incompetence. For that, the sick must pay.
People are living in poverty; gas electricity and even water cut off.
They are forced to use food banks, as their benefits are ‘sanctioned’ sometimes for months, or taxed as in bedroom tax.
This onslaught on the most vulnerable has led to suicides, evictions and payday loans.
People who were already struggling with ill health and disability are in the depths, life not worth living.
Meanwhile, in Millionaire Avenue, this government has created three new loopholes for the rich elite to avoid tax.
No care, no compassion, no shame.
Let’s end this bullying, nasty regime together.
Mrs S Davis, Bebington.
