A WIRRAL hospital director who had been suspended from work has lost her job despite being cleared by an investigation.

The probe into Arrowe Park Hospital’s director of human resources, Sue Green, concluded that there was no case to answer, opening the door for her return.

The reasons behind the investigation are not known.

But it has since emerged that Mrs Green has no job to come back to following Wirral University Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust’s decision to “streamline the executive structure” - making her role redundant.

Mrs Green, who had been the trust’s director of HR and organisational development since 2008, was suspended pending the inquiry.

A spokesman for the trust, which runs Arrowe Park Hospital, said: “As part of the trust’s corporate services review I can confirm that the trust has made the decision to review/streamline the executive structure.

“Following this review the position of executive director of human resources and organisation development has been made redundant.

“The trust would like to take this opportunity to thanks Mrs Green for her service, hard work and achievements.

“We wish her well in her challenges ahead.”
