THIEVES broke into a Wirral family’s home and stole their car.
The incident happened during the early hours of July 12 in Lingdale Road, West Kirby, and police have now released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to.
Two men climbed through an upstairs window of the house while the family were asleep and stole the keys to their grey Hyundai i20.
They then let themselves out of the kitchen door and stole the car from the driveway. It was later caught on camera going through the Wallasey tunnel towards Liverpool in the early hours of July 12.
Detectives are keen to trace the man at the wheel of the car pictured in the CCTV as part of their on-going investigation.
The family's laptop computer, a Kodak digitial camera, a Sony Ericcsson mobile phone and a purse containing cash and bank cards were also stolen.
