REGARDING the letter from Gary Cross ("No wonder the world is in such a sorry state!", Globe, November 29), I agree that the attitude today's society has is indeed hard to believe sometimes, but I feel this is a poor example.
I am myself a disabled driver and use the Tesco at Bidston. The disabled bays are often full of cars without blue badges, and so I will use a parent space for the simple reason I need to open my driver's door fully to get out.
Normal spaces don't allow this and even when I have parked out of the way and used two spaces - yep, someone decides to block me in!
Maybe this guy should have explained himself, but maybe common sense should be given where due. Have a go at the ignorant people (usually women) that use these spaces for no reason at all !
