YOUR correspondent DN Thomas ("Paying for global warning myth'", Globe, November 15) is correct that the world, our planet, goes through cycles of weather over centuries depending on the relative activity of the sun.
Scientists records however are too limited to be able to predict what is about to happen with certainty.
It would be wrong though to say human activity has no effect on global warming.
Exactly how much effect cannot be quantified. In short, we don't know.
