Police have released CCTV stills of a two men they would like to speak to in connection with a hate crime in Birkenhead.
Two men entered the Everfresh store on Rock Lane West and made derogatory remarks about the ethnicity of staff.
Officers say the staff have been left "very shaken" by the incident which toook place around 5.10pm on Sunday, May 26.
Detectives believe the men pictured may be able to help them with their enquiries and would urge them or anyone who recognises them to contact police.
Detective Constable Tony Jones said: "We are dedicated to stamping out racist and any other type of hate crime on Merseyside.
"This kind of behaviour is clearly unacceptable and we will aim to take positive action to put offenders before the courts.
"People who carry out hate crimes should be left in no doubt that their behaviour is totally unacceptable.
"Merseyside Police will not tolerate hate crime incidents and robust action will be taken to ensure offenders are arrested and prosecuted for their actions."
