Jennifer Lopez is the latest celeb to rock long wet-look hair on the red carpet.
The bold slicked back look is big at the moment, and the 45-year-old even managed to inject some volume into her locks for the American Music Awards last night.
Kim Kardashian, Rita Ora, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Hayden Panettiere have all been seen rocking wet to dry style recently too.
It’s not an easy look to pull off though. With your hair pulled away from your face, there’s no fringe to hide behind – slicked back hair is bold and screams confidence.
The experts at Nicky Clarke show us how.
1. Tilting your head forwards, blast your hair dry with a blowdryer. (Try Nicky Clarke Diamond Shine Pro Salon dryer) until it is 80% dry. Tilting your head forwards this will ensure that a clear parting is not made, and it will add volume.
2. Next, with your head upright, take sections starting at the nape of the neck and blow dry with a large round brush, curving under at the ends to keep the hair smooth and sleek.
3. When you get to the last section, at the top of the head take extra care to blow dry with the brush curved under and pulling back away from the face.
4. Fix with a generous layer of hairspray at the front of the head to set and smooth some serum at the ends to keep in place. The great thing about this style is that it should last all night.
