MORE Manchester and Liverpool dates have been added to the tour of unstoppable Les Misérables.

The Boublil and Schönberg musical, which holds the record as the longest running in the West End, will be on stage at Manchester's Palace Theatre from February 19 to March 30 and at Liverpool Empire from October 9 to 26.

Tickets will be made available first to ATG Theatre Card members from November 26 before going on general sale on November 30.

Les Misérables, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, made its premiere in 1985 at Palais des Sports in Paris and has now been seen by more than 120 million people in 52 countries 22 languages

It was revamped in 2009 to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary.

This production, directed by Laurence Connor and James Powell, inspired the hugely successful movie version starring Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Eddie Redmayne.

The new staging has scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, and has to date already been seen in North America, Brazil, Mexico, Korea, Japan, Canada, Australia, Spain, France, Manila, Singapore, Dubai and Broadway.
