TRENDY Pooches and sister company The Dog Spa have been announced as the main sponsors for this weekend's Woodside 'Pet Fest' event.

The animal-themed event is being held at the Independent Wirral Market@Woodside and organisers say it’s going to be an extravaganza for pets and their human friends alike.

Featuring 24-pet themed stalls and a host of fun activities for the whole family, Pet Fest has been designed to showcase the local pet industry here on Wirral and offer pet owners a ‘'go-to' event for all their pet related needs.

Trendy Pooches director Glynis Steward said: "We are so thrilled to be part of this amazing community event.

"Trendy Pooches has been operating on Wirral for over ten years now so it will be great to see clients old and new down there over the weekend."

Glynis and her two daughters Nicola Rawson and Sarah Balmer, have built their highly respected grooming operation to be one of the fastest growing grooming franchises in the region.

Alongside their successful Trendy Pooch brand and new Mobile Dog Grooming Franchise, the trio have also launched a dedicated grooming academy offering everything from day taster courses up to a Professional Level 3 OCN Diploma in canine grooming.

Part of their recently formed college outlet, Northern Education and Training delivers a range of apprenticeships, including an array of specialist animal care courses.

And if all that wasn’t enough, the team have just opened a brand new luxury day spa, 'The Dog Spa' in derby Road Birkenhead.

As well as offering a variety of services to help pamper your pooch, they also specialise in the Tellington TTouch method, which is a highly holistic way of grooming that can really help nervous dogs.
