Clubs & Societies

We meet at the Prenton Bowling Club, Prenton Road West, Prenton every Tuesday between 7.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. from October to March. Our programme is a good blend of talks on literary, historical and other topics, together with debates and discussion of current events. Our next meeting is on 12th February at 7.30p.m. when Harvey Cox will give a talk ‘James Joyce, the exile who never left’. This will be followed on 19th February by ‘The life and work of Thomas Brassey (1805-1870) Storeton Quarry Manager’ by David Casement. Talks on Trollope and Islands of the South Atlantic follow.
All welcome.
The emphasis is on participation and good humour. If you want to know more about us please visit our web site or contact Keith Johns on tel. 0151 336 3515 or at
