GEOFF WHARTON

04.03.1940 – 28.05.2016

Passed away peacefully after a short illness with his wife Jean and family at his bedside.

Husband

You never complained,

didn’t want to give in.

You were fighting a battle,

you could not win.

God saw you getting weary,

a cure was not to be.

He gently whispered in your ear,

‘It’s time to come with me’.

A golden heart stopped beating,

two smiling eyes at rest.

God broke my heart to prove to me,

He only takes the best.

Lots of love, Jean. x x x

Dad

You held me as a baby Dad,

you held me when I cried.

I wish I’d had the courage Dad,

to hold you when you died.

It broke my heart to lose you Dad,

but you didn’t go alone.

For part of me went with you Dad,

the day God called you home.

Love you Dad.

Janet and Colin. x x x

Dad

Did the sun shine a little brighter?

Was the sky a deeper blue?

Or was it just a better world,

when we shared our lives with you?

Heartbroken daughter Gaynor and Nidge. x x x

Dad

I held your hand as you slipped away,

your love is still our guide.

Although we cannot see you,

you are always by our side.

Our family chain is broken,

and nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one,

the chain will link again.

Love always, Alison, John and The Burns Clan. x x x

My Dad

You held my hand when I was small,

you caught me when I fell.

You’re the hero of my childhood,

and my later years as well.

Every time I think of you

my heart still fills with pride.

Though we’ll always miss you Dad,

I know you’re by my side.

Love you always, Julie, Ian, Hannah, Jake, Charlie, Alex and Blue. x x x x x

Grandad

The brightest star in the sky each night,

is Grandad Geoff saying ‘Goodnight’.

Love and kisses, Steven, Terence, Natalie, Joanne, Hannah, Jake, Charlie, Abbie-Leigh and

Ollie-James. x x x

Geoff

You were more than my father-in-law, you were my Dad.

You were always there for me and my kids, the best dad and grandad we could ever have hoped for.

We will miss you so much.

Love always, Ian. x x x
