WOOD Cyril Anthony Mike and Debbie would like to thank all the family and friends who attended Dad's memorial on what would have been the occasion of his 88th birthday. It was a fabulous tribute to Dad and lovely to hear so many memories and stories about his life and passions but above all his love of his dearly departed wife Ruby, his children Kathy, Debbie and Mike and his three beloved grandchildren Andrea, Ellie and Myles. Gone but not forgotten. RIP Dad xx

A beautiful memorial hearing lots of fond memories of Grandad and Nan. Thank you Mike for organising and for your heartfelt words.

Our Grandad kept a garden,
A garden of the heart;
He planted all the good things,
That gave our lives their start.
He turned us to the sunshine,
And encouraged us to dream:
Fostering and nurturing the seeds of self-esteem.
And then the winds and rain came,
He protected us enough;
But not too much because he knew
We would stand up strong and tough.
His constant good example,
Always taught us right from wrong;
Markers for our pathway that will last
a lifetime long.
We are our Grandads garden,
We are his legacy.
Thank you Granddad, I love you.

My memory of Cyril will always be visiting him and Ruby in their beautiful home in Wales .Welcoming and warm. Sharing lunch and stories.

A lovely tribute for Cyril and lovely to see so many people had travelled from far and wide.
Will be sadly missed by the McGettigan family.

It was a privilege to witness the heartfelt and moving memorial for Cyril. Though he was deprived of the funeral he should have had to honour his memory, Mike and Debbie provided a fitting and respectful tribute. RIP Cyril, Father of Debbie Wright, Kathy Hodson and Mike Wood, Grandfather to Andrea, Ellie and Myles.

So sorry that we were unable to attend this joyful family and friends celebration of Cyril’s life. We were so glad to be invited as part of the big community that was touched by Cyril’s life.
