Derek Edward Ashurst Derek passed away peacefully on 16 September 2021 in Christchurch, New Zealand, having reached the age of 80. Beloved husband of Pat (nee Pugh), father of David, Gillian and Michael. A native of Wallasey, Derek served for many years in the Parachute Regiment before joining the Fire Service, both here and in New Zealand. He will be sadly missed by all family and friends.
