JAMES (Jim) FURLONG Passed away 15th April 2021, aged 88 years. Adored husband of Phyllis. Cherished Dad to Liz, Val, James & Peter Son and daughters in law Peter, Angela & Lynne. Proud Grandad of Victoria, Christina, Matthew, Charlotte & Daisy, Great Grandad to Summer-Rose & Kayden. Funeral Mass to be held at St. John The Evangelist R C Church, New Ferry on 7th May 2021 at 12.00 midday. Due to current restrictions by invitation only. I have just seen this death notice re: Jimmy and I am really sad to hear that he has passed. I often played at St Johns Catholic club on a Saturday night and Jimmy was always there. He had a great smile, was very kind and gentle. I also played for either his 60th or 65th birthday - he was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed . John F Kennedy

Uncle Jimmy, You showed mum and I such kindness when I was small, you were so gentle and had a twinkle in your eye. Always smiling and making me laugh. I have many fond memories which I will always treasure. I feel grateful to have known you. Thinking of you. Love Julie-Anne & family. xxx
