DAVE SMITH (James David Passed peacefully after a long illness, bravely faced. Dear husband of June. Devoted Dad to Rachel, Sharon and Glen, and loving Grandad to Georgia, Ben, Abi and Joe. We will all miss you greatly but the cracking memories you gave us will remain with us forever. Private funeral service. For enquiries contact Co-op Funeralcare Heswall 0151 342 3339. Dave, considered a legend at Old Parkonians’ Rugby Club, was the Rugby Club Captain in season 1968/1969. He will be remembered by all in the local rugby fraternity for his awesome and ferocious tackling ability which put paid to many an opposition back line. A true gentleman both on and off the field of play. Dave will be missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts are with his dear wife June, his daughters Rachel and Sharon and son Glen at this sad time.
