Doreen Margaret Weaver (nee Barker) 9 April 1940 - 9 February 2021 Suddenly at Arrowe Park Hospital. Loving wife of the late Derek Weaver, much loved Mum of Elizabeth, David and Helen, mother-in-law to Graham and Siobhan, devoted and hugely proud Nana to Charlotte (Dr), Emma, Louise and Will. We all love and miss you so much. Doreen will also be sadly missed by sister June, brother-in-law Bob, nephews Chris and Nick, and families, and cousin Geoff, his wife June and families, and all her many friends. Doreen enjoyed a full, active life and is loved and remembered for her enthusiasm, knowledge and love of gardening, walking, keeping horses, the Arts, New Zealand, and as a lifetime Tranmere Rovers fan, as well as running a Brownie pack, and a valued member of the Trefoil Guild. We all have the most wonderful, happy memories of everything we shared and enjoyed together, including places we visited, always with so much laughter. The family would like to thank the dedicated teams of doctors and nursing staff at Arrowe Park Hospital and Wirral Hospice, in particular Mr Darren Smith, Consultant and Dr Claire Jeffries, Palliative Care Doctor. The care and support you all provided has been outstanding. Due to Covid restrictions, attendance at the funeral is by invitation only. It will be held at St John the Divine, Frankby on Tuesday 2 March at 2.00pm, followed by burial at Frankby cemetery at 3.00pm. The funeral cars will pass Tranmere Rovers football ground, stopping at the Johnny King statue at 1.30pm. A recording of the service will be made and sent on request.
