WILLIAM GEORGE SKILLEN
“Billy”

14.02.1945 – 06.05.2020

Beloved husband of
Garby Skillen and
adored father to Neaka,
Tanya, Oliver and Jenniffer.
Devoted grandfather to 14
and great grandfather to 4.
Will be missed forever
by his family and friends.

To my Husband
Mere words cannot begin,
to tell you how I feel.
You're the one thing in my life,
I could count on to be real.
We've had our ups and downs,
but now that we're apart,
I always get an empty feeling,
deep inside my heart.
We stood the test of time,
we walked the narrow road,
and at the end of every day
it’s you I want to hold.
I was proud to be your wife,
I was proud to be your friend,
and if given the choice,
I'd do it all again.
I love you now, I love you still,
forever more I always will.
Until we meet again,
Love always from
your brokenhearted
Wife Garby. x x x

My Dad - My Hero
You held my hand
when I was small,
you caught me when I fell.
You're the hero of my childhood,
and my later years as well.
And every time I think of you,
my heart still fills with pride,
though I'll always miss you Dad,
I know you're by my side.
In laughter and in sorrow,
In sunshine and through the rain,
I know you're watching over me,
until we meet again.
Love you always Dad,
Love from your Pudding -
Jenniffer and
son-in law Ian. x x x

Grandad
You came to watch the football,
you came to watch the Dance.
we are brokenhearted Grandad,
we never got the chance.
I wish with all my heart,
that you were here with me,
and we could share the laughter,
that there always used to be.
I know we'll meet again,
in another life elsewhere,
and those very special times,
we once again will share.
Look after Arnie & Bleu.
Love you always,
Patrick and Maddie. x x x

Dad
My mind knows you are
in a better place
where there is no pain,
you are at peace,
 I understand that.
I just wish I could explain
it to my heart.
Goodnight Dad,
love from Ian, Neaka,
Scott, Hannah and Nathan. x x x

Dad
You may have thought I didn't see,
or that I hadn't heard,
life lessons that you taught to me,
but I got every word.
Perhaps you thought I missed it all,
and that we'd grow apart,
but Dad, I picked up everything,
It's written on my heart.
Without you, Dad, I wouldn't be
the person I am today;
You built a strong foundation,
no one can take away.
I've grown up with your values,
and I'm very glad I did;
So here's to you, dear father,
from your forever grateful kid.
Love from Tanya, Jimmy,
Angie, Jay, Megan,
Molly & Sonny. x x x
Emile, Savannah
& Baby Jay. x x x

Dad
My heart has been left broken
since the day you had to go,
and the memories I treasure dearly,
are in the tears that still flow.
You’re in my thoughts everyday,
and that’s how it will always be,
for you may be up in Heaven now,
but you will always be with me.
I will love you forever Dad.
Your son Olly.  x x x

Grandad
Our world is a little darker
now that we’re apart,
but the memories are
shining brightly,
within our broken hearts.
We know that you
loved us dearly,
and we wanted you to stay,
but you were needed
up in Heaven,
and God whispered
“come this way”.
We will love you always.
Your grandchildren
Oliver, Lucy, Lily, Grace,
Freya and Oliver John,
and daughter-in-law Hazel. x x x

Grand
The King with a cheeky smile,
my hero with a hanky pile.
I'll miss your laugh, pinching
the froth off your bitter.
Even til the very end you
have never been a quitter.
In my heart you will
forever remain,
until we meet again.
Love, your Megan Clare
& Taylor.  x x x
