Elsie May Walker

ELSIE MAY WALKER 27.02.1936 16.05.2020 Passed away peacefully, aged 84, at Arrowe Park Hospital. Precious memories of our Aunt From Denise and Tom, and their families. Elsie lived a happy and full life, touching the hearts of everyone she met. We have wonderful memories of our times with her. She always had such a positive view of life and was very inspirational. She was the youngest of three, born in Liverpool to Thomas J. and Elsie Taylor. She married Gordon Walker and spent the first years of marriage living in Formby, before they then moved to the Wirral. Elsie traveled extensively, and was really an early "globe trotter." Her positive outlook won her friends in many places. At home she was a wonderful host and enjoyed the company of most everyone. In her later years, she had wonderful memories of that great life. Her legacy will live with us and her memory will be indelibly etched in our hearts forever. The current lockdown and distancing rules mean that Elsie's funeral can't be held and any future plans are unknown right now. Once lockdown is eased sufficiently to allow the country to get back to some semblance of normality, a celebration of Elsie's life will be held by family members, including Denise and John, Kent, and Tom and Anne, Chicago, who will gather to pay tribute to her life. Friends and family are encouraged to leave messages and comments; we look forward to hearing from everyone and will collect messages and pictures for a celebratory brochure that can be shared. Elsie, we will always love and miss you. We will treasure many wonderful memories. You are so loved. God Bless, Rest in Peace. Grateful thanks to all the staff at Arrowe Park Hospital, especially the trained nurses and carers. They could not have done more. No flowers please, but due to Elsie's support of them after Gordon passed away, donations gratefully received to Alzheimer's Society, UK, at https://elsiewalker.muchloved.com/ Alternatively, a search on the Alzheimer's Society web site under Elsie Walker will readily find her memorial page.
