Joan Beard

Joan was a very special woman. Her indomitable spirit and unwavering support for those she cared about was extremely heartwarming. She was never without a smile on her face and her desire to laugh and share a joke in any situation was always very soul-stirring. I had the utmost respect for Joan. She was a strong and inspirational presence in many peoples' lives and it's an understatement to say she will be missed.

We have lost a dear friend and a second Mum. Your kindness will never be forgotten. In true family tradition you battled on without complaint or self pity. You were an inspiration to so many, always seeing the good in everyone. Your legacy will live on in your wonderful family who you adored.
