COUNCILLOR CHRIS BLAKELEY

Passed away on

15th January 2020,

aged 69 years.

A much loved husband and father

who will be greatly missed forever.

He tirelessly served Moreton West and

Saughall Massie for 20 years and was a

strong voice for all who needed his help.

He was well respected by all who knew him.

He loved his holidays and we all had such

great times together regardless of the destination.

He bravely battled cancer for over 4 years, never giving in.

We are incredibly proud of him.

We love you to the moon and back and life

will never be the same without you.

All is Well

Death is nothing at all.

I have only slipped away into the next room.

I am I and you are you.

Whatever we were to each other that we are still.

Call me by my old familiar name.

Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.

Put no difference in your tone.

Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.

Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.

Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.

Let it be spoken without effort.

Without the ghost of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.

It is the same as it ever was.

There is absolute unbroken continuity.

What is death but a negligible accident?

Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?

I am waiting for you for an interval.

Somewhere very near, just around the corner.

All is well.

Funeral will be held on Tuesday 4th February at

2.15pm in Christ Church, Moreton, followed by

cremation in Landican Centre Chapel at 3pm.

Family flowers only but donations to Wirral Hospice St John's

who provided him with excellent care in his final days.
