Passed away peacefully in

Arrowe Park Hospital,

surrounded by his loving

family, aged 97 years.

Reunited with his beloved wife Joyce, son John,

his granddaughter Louise and all his loved ones.

Much loved dad to Robert and Brenda,

father-in-law to Jenny, Paul and Glendya.

Proud grandad and great grandad to

all of his wonderful grandchildren.

Its only words and I know they won’t bring you back,

you leave us so sad, but we will remember the life that you gave us.

You’ve earned your place in heaven Dad,

after all that you’ve been through.

I wish I could have helped you,

but there was nothing we could do.

Peacefully sleeping now out of pain,

I would not wake you up to suffer that again.

Mine is just a simple prayer for God to keep you in his care.

Grandad Bob

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be.

So He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come with me.”

A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest,

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Love all your grandchildren.

Great Grandad Bob

We had a wonderful grandad, one who never really grew old.

His smile was made of sunshine, and his heart was solid gold.

His eyes were as bright as shining stars and in his cheeks fair roses you see.

We had a wonderful grandad and that’s the way it will always be.

But take heed because he’s still keeping an eye on all of us,

so let’s make sure he will like what he sees.

We had a wonderful Grandad.

Funeral service to be held at St Marys Church, Eastham

on Tuesday 22nd January 2019 at 1.00pm,

followed by interment at Plymyard Cemetery.

Flowers welcome, donations if desired to Dementia Together Wirral.
