My Norm

Sometimes I just sit quietly, reflecting for a while;

Imagining your voice, your face, your warm and loving smile.

For it’s so lovely to recall, the happy times we had.

When you played such a special role, as both husband and dad.

And at this very special time I only wish you knew,

that I’d give the entire world today

for one more hour with you.

But I still have my memories, and since we’ve been apart,

It comforts me so much to know, that you’re right here in my heart.

Forever loved, sadly missed and always in my heart.

Your devastated wife Marg, Love you so much.

Our Dad

A golden heart stopped beating,

hardworking hands at rest.

It broke my heart to see you go,

God only takes the best.

They say that memories are golden,

well may be that is true.

But we never wanted memories,

we only wanted you.

Your life was love and labour,

your love for your family true.

You did the best for all of us,

we will always remember you.

We sat beside your bedside,

our hearts were crushed and sore.

We did our duty to the end,

‘til we could do no more.

In tears we watched you sinking,

we watched you fade away,

And though our hearts were breaking,

we knew you could not stay.

Our lips cannot speak how we loved you,

our hearts cannot tell what to say,

But God only knows how we miss you,

in our home that is lonely today.

Broken hearted daughter

Sharon and son-in-law Phil.

Our Grandad

You are thought about so often, in loving memory,

for you are all the special things a grandad ought to be.

We’ve all missed you being here since you went away,

but the happiness you brought us is remembered every day.

So may you find a gentle peace in your eternal rest,

we will always love you Grandad, you really were the best.

From all your grandchildren, Natalya, Joel, Courtney, Lauren, Callum, Luke & Ashleigh.

Our Brother-in-law

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be,

He put His arms around you and whispered ‘Come with me’.

The love I witnessed the day you fell asleep,

will stay in my heart for the rest of eternity.

From your sister-in-law Joyce, Lango & family.
