Irene Smith

IRENE MAVIS SMITH (Née Berry) 1st March 1939 - 28th April 2014 Aged 75 years Peacefully at home with her family by her bedside. Mum I am finding it hard to find the words to express the pain I feel, but I know you will understand Mum as we are the same. I kept my promise to you Mum not to leave your side, I held your hand to the end. I know you will be beside me everyday. My soul mate and friend. Reunited with Dad, sleeping peacefully. Broken hearted daughter Susan and son-in-law Stephen. x x Mum/Nan I did not see you close your eyes or hear your last faint sigh. I only heard that you were gone, too late to say goodbye. Sleeping peacefully in Dads arms. Your broken hearted son John, daughter-in-law Michelle and grandson Daniel. x x x Nan/Nanna We loved you yesterday, we love you still, we always have, we always will. Rest in peace Nan. Grandson Stephen, Jemma, great grandaughter Mollie and Jacob. x x Nan/Nanna When your beautiful heart stopped beating, our hearts broke in two. Knowing that here on earth there will never be another you. Sleep tight Nan. Love and miss you always. Carl, Hannah and Baby Tyler. x Nan/Nanna Things seem out of place now that I can’t call on you or see your smiling face. We will never forget you, we’ll never be apart. You are a diamond Nan and simply the best. Sleep tight Chuck. All our love grand children Claire, Ben and great grandson Alfie. x x x Irene Our friendship spanned over many decades, you were our D’artagnan and we your three musketeers. We will miss you more than words can say. Goodnight and God bless to our friend who was one in a million. From Grace, Gill and Lin. x Irene's funeral service takes place on Wednesday 14th May at noon, at Our Lady's Church, Birkenhead, followed by burial at Landican Cemetery at 1.30pm.
