Greed leads to end of Bromborough Pool

TO satisfy the dreamers and developers in an area with almost 6,000 vacant properties we are about to witness the destruction of a piece of our heritage.

The article on page 34 of the Wirral Globe on September 19, speaks of "extending new life and vibrancy into the village," the village being Bromborough Pool – third oldest industrial village in Britain, first garden village and a "conservation" area.

Quite how destroying this example of Victorian entrepreneurial development – over 35 years older than Port Sunlight – helps this area is beyond comprehension but then there’s no accounting for greed from whichever quarter it originates.

G Parry,
Bromborough.

I definitely agree with Mr Parrys comments. This is nothing short of corporate vandalism aided and abetted by a Council with no sense of proberty!

I am not sure what "proberty" means, but WBC has been deviod of any sense of Humanity, Fairness, Honesty, and correct corporate management for over two decades now.

And it seems like a very expensive correction of all that is wrong is now taking place but very slowly and with not much transparency yet again.

I do wish the newish CEO and his trio of super executives would perhaps inform the public of progress, it would be greatly appreciated.
