No medal from Hoylake 10k
1:44pm Tuesday 11th September 2012 in Letters
I JUST wanted to reply to the letter regarding the Hoylake 10k run vs the Wirral 10k and which is better value for money.
I have only been running for just over 12 months and slowly but surely I'm getting better and my times are improving. I'm always very proud of my achievement at the end of a race, and love to receive a medal.
So far I have run eight different 10k races and have seven medals, including the Mersey Tunnel 10k, Port Sunlight 10k and the Santa Dash.
The one medal missing is the Hoylake 10k that I did last year, as they don't give you one.
For me personally, I would rather pay extra and receive a medal for my efforts! In fact, I would much rather receive a medal than a T-shirt which I never wear.
