Talking sense about windfarms

HOW refreshing to read the letter from Professor Gregg regarding wind farms.

It was full of common sense.

Which makes one wonder why billions of pounds have been wasted on wind and solar power projects.

I can well understand that many people would not like a nuclear power station next door but surely to ignore the billions of tons of tidal water coming in and out of the inlets and estuaries around our coasts twice a day is beyond belief.

Tidal barrage would not be nearly as unsightly as wind mills built either on land or out at sea.

Barrages would provide many safe leisure areas for boating, fishing etc.

I encourage the professor to keep up the pressure in the hope that our politicians, who are so god at spending other people’s money, will eventually see sense.
