Special day as Wirral church celebrated Jubilee

I WOULD like to use this letters page to publicly thank all those who enjoyed our Jubilee Celebrations at St. Thomas Church in Liscard on Sunday June 3.

In typical British style the sun chose not to shine on us, but in true British style we did not let a little bit of rain stop us from having a fabulous time.

Special thanks to the Mayor of Wirral; councillor Gerry Ellis and Lady Mayoress Margaret Ellis, who gave us a great deal of time, crowned our Queen - Emily Eaton and our Duke Thomas Knapton.

They both even joined us on our procession in the wet, what lovely kind people you are, you made our day very special.

Thanks must also go to the three police constables who safely escorted our procession of ponies and children to Liscard and back to Church, Pam's Party Ponies of Meols and Phil Broster photography who offered his services free of charge.

This really was a special day and can just show what community is really all about.

Thank you again.
