THE Globe reports that Wirral and the North West expect an economic bonanza of around £100m from the Open Golf championships.
I would like to know apart from a handful of people in the service sector, who benefitted from the 2006 Open at Hoylake?
Perhaps a spokesman from Wirral Council can state whether any money was spent to improve Wirral in any way from the Open Championships profit?
