Wirral sisters' thanks for assistance after crash

MY SISTER and I were in a car accident on Church Road in Tranmere on January 19 when I had stopped at the zebra crossing in order to let a gentleman across.

Behind came a transit van whose driver obviously had not seen I had stopped and it smashed into the back of my car and sent us careering across the road.

Luckily, we missed the man on the crossing, but we were both taken to hospital by ambulance.

We would like to say a really big "thank you" to a lady who stopped and called emergency services for us.

I only heard her name once, and I think she said it was "Linda". She was driving a black car.

If you know it was you, once again thank you so much; you were a comfort and a really big help.
