IS THE Wirral Globe trying to turn itself into the mouthpiece of UFO-spotters anonymous?
Why do people always assume that anything that appears in our sky, that they can't understand, has come from 100 million miles away.
These strange orange lights are traditional Chinese-style flying lanterns, which have recently increased in popularity.
They are made from bamboo and paper and have been around in China for 2,000 years.
They cost less than £2 each and produce a bright orange glow and will travel a distance of up to 15 miles before gently falling back to earth.
With November 5, Christmas and New Year approaching fast, I forecast lots more of these alien objects will invade our skies.
