Your man Dunn deserves an award

WITH his latest fearless expose of Wirral Council's gross ineptitude and incompetence (the Oval swimming pool fiasco), your reporter, Justin Dunn, really does deserve a "Journalist of the Year" award.

He is a refreshing change from those "conventional" journos elsewhere on Merseyside, who are content to keep their heads below the parapet and not make waves.

Dunn performs a vital public service by exposing the bureaucracy and wastefulness perpetuated by paid officers of WBC - in the absence of proper supervision by our mediocre elected councillors. I am in full agreement with Dave Rimmer's Residents Alliance initiative.

An organised resistance is long overdue against this dictatorial bunch of quasi-Soviet bureaucrats in Wirral Council, who seem to think they are our masters rather than our servants.

I for one am ready to join the Resistance!

Meanwhile, more power to Mr Dunn's and the Wirral Globe's elbow.
