I am mystified and annoyed at the decision to spend thousands of pounds of tax payers' money on a piece of derilict land that was once Bluewood Drive in Bidston Rise.
This land is to be turned into a communal park, but if you take a walk through Bidston Rise, it is clear to see that the money could be spent on more important things.
Every house is in need of double-glazed windows and doors in order to bring them up to the standard of the houses that sit on Hoylake Road.
There are houses that have no front gates or fencing and There are empty houses that are being vandalised.
On the corner of Fairbrook Drive and Gautby Road, the fencing has been totaly destroyed and can clearly be seen from Hoylake Road which takes traffic to Hoylake, West Kirby, Moreton etc.
Is this the impression that the council wants to leave of Bidston Rise when traffic passes through?
Surely the residents of the Bidston Rise estate deserve money to be spent on more important things than a communal garden/park when their properties are in need of being brought into the 21st Century.
Mr R Taylor, Bidston.
