ONCE again, Wirral Council excel in showing the council taxpayers they serve how to be asleep on the job, and to quote the damning letter sent to Edward Timpson MP about their failure to protect Wirral’s most vulnerable children, "delusional".
A good analogy for Cllr Phil Davies' trip to China with failed Metro-mayor selection candidate Joe Anderson, might be to think of Nero playing his fiddle while Rome burned.
I notice Cllr Davies saves the best until last with his alleged commitment – among other ambitions – to "protect the environment".
This quote comes from a man who is prepared to completely destroy a huge swathe of Wirral's Green Belt arable farmland with the complete antithesis of a its current eco-system, an aggressively fertilised golf course, plus hotel and "luxury" homes because, it would seem, Wirral has a shortage of golf courses and is awash with affordable housing!
I have to wonder where the audacity comes from to keep defending the indefensible, as clearly this administration amounts to a series of disasters on a repeating wash-cycle.
Can somebody please explain to us when the machine gets emptied, because the laundry keeps getting dirtier with each passing month?
