THERE were two extremely interesting radio programmes on Saturday, early morning, on Radio 4.
The first, Open Country, was specifically about the golf course proposal and seemed both factual and unbiased.
It is well worth a listen on the iPlayer.
The second, Farming Today, was a general programme but the subject matter, The Green Belt was equally of great interest and demonstrated what problems Hoylake, Meols and West Kirby face to maintain the status quo.
Cllr Gerry Ellis was interviewed in the first programme and confirmed that he had changed his mind and was now opposed to the proposal.
A good and informative listen to anyone with an interest.
John Irwin, Hoylake
