Girtrell Court campaigners during protest earlier this year
WITH reference to the closure of Girtrell Court respite home, which my two daughters have used for six weeks in a year, the latest letter from the council which I have been sent tells me the changeover will be "seamless".
How can this be when Girtrell takes 20 young people and the new facility takes only eight?
Are they going to sleep top and tail?
We're told parents and carers are 'happy' with this outcome, when in reality we are appalled by the decisions taken behind closed doors and against all recommendations made by parents, carers and employees.
