I WAS out last weekend with a colleague in Birkenhead.
We had a few pints in various bars and a good chat.
We joined a queue for a taxi home and my colleague fainted.
It was quite stressful.
He did recover.
The other people in the queue immediately stepped aside and offered their taxi position to my friend. Good on them.
Eventually it was decided to call an ambulance.
It arrived at short notice and my colleague was taken to Arrowe Park Hospital and was treated.
I have to say how impressed I was by the very considerate people at the taxi rank but more important is the efficiency shown by the NHS.
An organisation that is continuously and wrongly criticised and they don’t deserve it.
They did an excellent job and possibly saved a life and the folk at the taxi rank were such a decent lot.
Thank you all.
