Bernie Singleton, who died in April, was a regular face at Race for Life in Birkenhead Park where she always held a collection for the charity and had become affectionately known as "Bernie Bucket"
I AM a mum-of-four who felt so passionate about doing the Race for Life for the first time this year since the passing of my gorgeous friend Bernie Bucket, who has raised a staggering amount during her battle with cancer and never gave up the fight to keep raising money to fight this dreadful disease.
Giving up was never an option, she used to say.
She will always be my inspiration and my zest for living life to the fullest.
Bernie has a "just giving" page on her Facebook left in her legacy because she would have wanted to keep raising money.
I hope people can read this and donate in aid of all the hard work during her battle and to never give up hope that one day we will find a cure.
