I READ on the Wirral Globe website that the application for a new Aldi discount food store to be built at Bromborough has been held up after councillors on the planning committee decided they had to pay a “site visit” before they could decide.
As they must have known several weeks before the meeting was held that this item was coming up, couldn’t they have made that visit in advance and thus have helped to speed up the whole planning process?
