MUMS are having to wait up to a extra six weeks after baby being born for the likes of coils and inplants leaving them unprotected for nearly three months as there are not enough clinics to provide these services in Wirral.

I wondering how many unwanted pregnancies there are due to this.

As many women don't want to have hormones pumped into their bodies, like myself, they should have a choice and not be forced into taking a pill for six weeks before eventually getting an appointment for the contraceptive the actually want.

If I had known there would be such a ridiculously long waiting time for the contraceptive I actually want I would have rang for an appointment the same week as I had my daughter six weeks ago.

It's frustrating and against women's human rights to choose.

While I sympathise with doctors and nurses, and do understand they work hard to provide care, this is completely unacceptable and needs to change to protect women.
