I AM writing to appeal to your readers for volunteers to help raise funds for British Red Cross Week at fundraising collections in Wirral.

We have been kindly allocated a Wirral street collection at Bebington, Heswall, Birkenhead and Wallasey, on Saturday, May 28, as well as store collections at Aldi Birkenhead, Laird Street, on Friday, May13, and Saturday, May 14, as well as the Co-op in Noctorum on Saturday, June 11, and Saturday, July 2.

We are looking for local people to give just two hours of their time to join our fundraisers to raise vital funds for the Red Cross.

Just two hours of your time can help save the life of someone vulnerable in crisis right here in Wirral or across the world.

The Red Cross is a volunteer-led humanitarian organisation that helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are.

The Red Cross responds to emergencies all over the world and offers aid and support to communities affected by natural disasters Here in the UK the Red Cross provides a variety of health and social care services including care in the home and medical equipment loans.
