WHY is Magenta Living (formerly Wirral Partnership Homes) building yet another locally, most unpopular, monstrous eyesore which looks like a prison block at Bridge Court in West Kirby?

Scale-wise the building is totally out keeping with local residential properties.

Also the public tree preservation area is now ruined.

Plans for this carbuncle went through the planning process disregarding the strength of local objection.

Magenta Living and Wirral Council planning committee is awarded:

  • 0/10 for lack of design creativity
  • 0/10 for public participation; 0/10 for value for money
  • 0/10 for lack of environmental impact knowledge and awareness
  • 0/10 for awareness of the real housing needs and existing potential residential stock lying empty.

As Joni Mitchell’s famous Yellow Taxi song says: "They pave paradise and put up a parking lot" - only in this case it’s a prison block.
