LAST weekend I took my dogs for a stroll along the beach in the sunshine.
I parked up at the Gunsite car park between Leasowe lighthouse and New Brighton.
The mild weather had brought out lots of other dog walkers.
I pulled on wellies and hat and put my shopping basket and handbag under the dog blankets out of site in the back of the car, and off I went onto the sand.
Now this is the “ bad ” part of the story – someone saw me and when I was out of sight, broke into my car breaking the lock, and stole my handbag.
The “ good ” part begins with the kind couple who helped me search bins in the area in the hope it had been dumped somewhere nearby and ends with the kind lady who found my bag next day and handed it to the police choosing not to leave her name.
The “ ugly ” part is how I now feel about going to Wirral parks and beauty spots to walk the dogs. Is nowhere safe from lowlife thieves?
