ALTHOUGH I now live in Australia, I was born in Birkenhead and attended St Hugh's Secondary Modern School in Park Road South from 1945 to 1950.
The school has been demolished many years now, but I wonder if any of your readers who may have attended might like to share my memories.
They are memories of a time when Birkenhead was always busy, all roads leading to the docks were packed with trucks from all over the country; a time before houses had electricity and when Cammell Laird was producing ship after ship.
I will always have a place in my heart for Birkenhead.
