EUROPEAN migration into the UK is not the reason the under- resourced NHS has a £3 billion deficit, as the Ukip health spokeswoman, Louise Bours, ludicrously asserted in the Globe.
In fact, the NHS is reliant on EU health professionals and carers to fill skills shortages.
You are much more likely to meet a doctor, nurse, midwife or support worker from the EU than a fellow patient or service- user.
Let's recognise the positive contribution immigrants from Europe and the rest of the world make to our NHS instead of scapegoating them for the consequences of Tory health policy.
