IT was fascinating to read the conclusions of the recent Wirral Council research that people in parts of the borough are concerned about crime and anti-social behaviour and that feeling safe and healthy were most important to residents.
Now we have confirmation that many years of yobbish behaviour and burglaries really do concern us after all.
In other areas of Wirral we learn that people are worried about road and pavement repairs.
Who would have dreamt of that before except maybe drivers with wrecked cars and old ladies taking a tumble over uneven paving?
These valuable insights came at a cost of only £25,000 of your money or a mere £22 per person interviewed in this ground- breaking research.
I am sure we all agree that our money was well spent and that there were no more important issues on which to spend such a trivial sum.
I would suggest that we might now extend the survey by asking whether we possibly might be concerned about the piles of slippery leaves and litter left around for weeks.
If this costs us another £25,000 then so be it.
We really must get to learn about these important facts.
